Upside...up?

This may sound like a good thing but at this point in the pregnancy the baby's upside should be down.

So now what I need from all of you is a quick prayer that my little one practices its somersaults and ends up head down so I don't have to have a version and possibly a C-section.

UUUGGGHHH!

The only good thing with this news is I don't have to worry about scheduling an induction
- once again, uugghh -
just trying to look at the bright side.

  1. Thanks Rach,

    I really appreciate it!
Hopefully my little one will cooperate but if not it's not the end of the world. :o)

  2. I will hope and pray that the little guy/girl does some gymnastics and rights himself/herself properly.

But - JUST IN CASE that doesn't happen, I'll offer some benefits of a c-section (I had to create these for myself when my own version didn't work and I was facing a c-section).

    1. You get to stay in the hosptial longer. This was actually really great because the nurses are soooo awesome when it comes to helping you breastfeed. And since that is such a challenge the first few days, I can't tell you how wonderful it was to have the extra help from the experts.
    2. You get to stay in the hospital longer - Part II. Again, this was great because you got more of a chance to rest. If you choose, you will be able to send the baby to the nursery so you can get some sleep at nights and they will bring him/her to you when they are ready to eat. Enjoy it then since when you get home you won't have that luxery.
    3. You know that your 'stuff' down there is always going to stay the same size.
    4. You won't have to deal with urine incontinence issues.
    5. Since you really can't get out of bed for the first day and its hard to in the days after, you can get away with asking other people and nurses to change the diaper and they will understand. I didn't change a single diaper until I got home.
    6. No back labor.

I'm sure I could think of more, but those were the biggies for me. Just trying to look on the bright side for you!

    Lots of Love!
    Rachel
